Archbishop Sancroft High School has been instrumental in coordinating Science events to celebrate the above week. On Monday 15th March we will be taking Year 6 to the High School to take part in a ‘MiniMonsters’ Roadshow. The MiniMonsters Roadshow aims to work to high standards of health and safety and animal welfare, whilst promoting a fascination with wildlife from around the world Children will be given the opportunity to meet and even handle the animals if they choose to. Great emphasis is given to hygiene and children are required to thoroughly wash their hands after handling the animals (appropriate hand sanitiser gel will be available). The roadshow includes reptiles, invertebrates and occasionally mammals. During the show, animals such as Giant Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches and Corn Snakes are used to show how important and interesting all animals are. Please ensure that we are aware of any relevant allergies that your child suffers from. The children will travel in staff cars to and from the event which takes place between 12.10 and 1.10pm. Your child will need to bring a packed lunch on this day to eat before we go. |
